The county can be explored by car, bus or train, or you can even explore it by bicycle. With so many ways to get around, you won't be short of options.

Jump on a tram
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) is your direct route to shopping, leisure and tourist attractions in Nottingham and the surrounding areas. There are five stops in the city centre, including Nottingham Station, and the tram runs every seven minutes. They serve seven park and ride with 5,000 free parking spaces, and travel as far as Hucknall and Clifton. To view Nottingham's tram route map, click here.

Taking the train
The East Midlands Rail connects Worksop in the north of Nottinghamshire with Creswell Crags and Newstead Abbey, as well as Newark in the east of the county. A number of Nottinghamshire towns are also served by East Coast Trains and Cross Country Trains. Northern Rail offers local, direct train services to Nottingham from Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley, and Chesterfield.

Hopping on a bus
Buses will be available to get you around the county. Nottingham's Broad Marsh and Victoria bus stations operate the majority of bus services from the city, and buses around the city are mostly provided by Nottingham City transport
